Amrei Schillinger

Amrei, our 16th exchange student, from Neu-Ulm, Germany (in Bavaria) joined our family in January after needing to change her YFU host family here in Seattle. She attended Garfield High School in Seattle, which placed each of our 3 teenagers in 3 different high schools! Along with her academic classes, Amrei enjoyed singing with the mixed women's chorus and playing cello in the school orchestra. We have enjoyed her school concerts very much. Nancy had an opportunity to meet her family near Nürnberg in June while teaching in Germany.

Eve and Amrei enjoyed the water when we took little trips. Just a little tree in the Olympic Rain Forest

2004 UPDATE

Amrei along with her mother, Blandine and brother, Yannick paid us a visit in September.

Up at the Space Needle Observation Deck Marlene & Alex from Switzerland were staying with us that Summer

2008 UPDATE

Ameri is currently studying at the University of Konstanz to become a teacher. We have been to her home in Neo-Ulm several times this past few years. But this Fall we were thrilled to share a visit with her in October in Muehltal, Germany. Her brother, Yannik has taken a break in his University studies to be a house caregiver for mentally challenged adults in a small town in Norway.
